Natasha Rivero is a self taught artist from Las Vegas, Nevada and takes an Afro-Futuristic approach to her paintings. A mixed media artist who works are a direct reflection of her everyday life. Influenced by not only the past but the present. Each work highlights, elevates, and stimulates the senses and represents her influences in where ever she is in life. Being the first born of her immigrant parents and being raised to survive and live the “American-Dream” never sat well with her. The need for more, the need to create is where Natasha thrives.

As an emerging artist doodling in journals and homework was a must for her. The only materials at her disposal were a pen or pencil. As inspiration occurred and as her skills matured she picked up a paint paint brush at the ripe age of 17. Now, the possibilities were endless. There was something therapeutic about using different mediums on a canvas. Growing up in a city where gambling and working on the strip is the goal in life and a school system where they never really focused on kids passion; she learned the patience of having to teach herself by just doing. Then that just led into a journey of practicing and turning mistakes into well known projects. She looks for way to bring art to life or life to imitate art. People would ask her if she preferred to draw or to paint, she believes you cant have one without the other.

Creativity is intertwined.
